Since 1965, the Anzac Day Trust Fund has provided annual grants to organisations that support the welfare of veterans, their families and their dependents, in Queensland.

Donations

The Anzac Day Trust Fund is principally made up of State Government funding, however, donations from the broader community are welcomed.

All donations contribute to supporting the welfare of veterans, their families and dependents, through grants made to eligible organisations in Queensland.

Anzac Day Trust Fund Grant Program 2025

The Queensland Veterans’ Council is ensuring that the 2025 grant program delivers outcomes that achieve an increased impact for the veteran community in Queensland. In 2025 a funding pool of approximately $1.7 million was available for distribution through the Anzac Day Trust Fund.

This year the Queensland Veterans’ Council delivered the grant program through two separate streams:

  • Stream A: Grants up to $10,000 for retrospective reimbursement of expenditure incurred during the 2023-2024 Australian Tax Office Financial Year. This funding stream was only available to small organisations.
  • Stream B: Competitive grants of up to $100,000 each for innovative projects to address the needs of veterans and their dependents over a 12-month period. Applicants were required to demonstrate how their activities will provide improved outcomes for the veteran community.

Stream A: Announcement of successful 2025 recipients

Successful Stream A recipients were announced on 31 October 2025. 101 organisations will receive a share of total Stream A funding of $500,052 as retrospective reimbursement of eligible expenditure incurred in the 2023-24 Financial Year.

A full list of successful recipients is provided below:

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications.

Due to the program being significantly oversubscribed, the total funding request exceeded the available funding pool. To ensure fairness and equity, funding has been apportioned across eligible applicants. This approach allows the Queensland Veterans’ Council to support as many applicants as possible while adhering to the program objectives. We thank all applicants for their understanding and their commitment to the welfare of veterans and their families.

Stream B: Announcement of successful 2025 recipients

We are pleased to announce the successful recipients of the 2025 Stream B round of the Anzac Day Trust Fund grant program, with a total of $1,032,300 in funding awarded to projects that will deliver significant welfare outcomes for Queensland’s veterans and their dependents.

A full list of successful recipients is provided below:

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications.

The program for this year was highly competitive, receiving funding requests totalling $4,280,000 – far exceeding the available funding. All applications were assessed through a rigorous, merit-based process to ensure that grants were directed to initiatives that best demonstrated the potential to benefit the veteran community.

We would like to thank all applicants for their efforts and their commitment to supporting Queensland’s veterans.
